Bypass duplicate spirits?
I was wondering if it'd be possible for higher bosses to spike down quickly. I know the generic Signet of Spirits, pain, bloodsong, vampirism attacking spirits with painful bond does an insane amount of damage.
I know if you summon a duplicate spirit within like aggro bubble and a half of each other they will override them. But if you summon them far enough apart to have 2 or more sets of them. Then use summon spirits, will it bypass the rule since your not "summoning them next to each other" just moving them? It would be cool to see this if it did work. Have 3-4 spirit spammers all bring them around the boss, painful bond and watch it die so quickly. A few suicide runs against duncan or mallyx or what have you should bring most big hp bosses down in no time if this would work. |

Whenever I've had that happen, the duplicate spirits always die after I summon them. It would be very cool to watch if it worked though.

It doesn't matter whether you shadowstep/tele or create/summon them, whenever a duplicate appears within whatever the range is the older spirit is automatically killed.
eg. Two people use SoS > the spirits created last will override the first set regardless. |

Well in the past (example would be snowball arenas). I would run a rit char and summon the frosty spirit on 1 side of the map. Then go to right side and summon another, there would be 2 spirits up exactly the same and alive.
I just don't know if summon spirits truly counts for the range. I kind of wish they would allow spirit duplicates in pve. So if you had like 2 shelters(from 2 different people) and unions 1 would take affect once it dies the other starts taking effects. Just not being able to have duplicates for each person. You will notice that all rit team builds do have not duplicate binding rituals. The reason is that you cannot have two of the same spirit in an area. And we are very grateful for that as ritualist foes would be impossible to kill if they could have duplicate spirits.

I've done it before but they have to be kind of far apart. It takes a bit to setup without destroying the other spirits, and I'm not really sure how well it would work against a single target like a boss. It was fine for larger groups, but I ran into the problem where sometimes the majority of the mob would be out of range of the second group of spirits.
Pretty sure it wouldn't work against Duncan or Mallyx at all because of the size of their rooms.

Doesn't work, as soon as you summon one dies.

Doesn't matter how they got in range of each other, as soon as 2 of the same spirit are in that range, the older one dies. I have had Bloodsong on the map in 2 spots, and used Summon Spirits which moved both of them. Once they moved, I only had 1 Bloodsong.

Well I know you can't have 1 person have 2 copies. I just didn't know if other humans would still only see "hey I have 1 bloodsong and he had 1 bloodsong". Guess they must have hashed out those details when they added summon spirits.

It doesn't matter who makes the spirit, or how the spirit gor there. The only thing the game checks is the range. If there is a second spirit in range of the first, the second one gets removed. This is why when more than 1 person is runnnig spirits, they need to either take different spirits, or time their use. Summon Spirits won't allow for 2 people to use the same spirit in different spots and then move them.... once moved, regardless of who put it there, the spirits that can't be there are removed.
